It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing away of David on December 24, 2010 at his residence. David was born in Steinbach on October 4, 1963 to Leonard and Jessie Wiebe. He was the third youngest of six children. David leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Leonard and Jessie Wiebe, Diane (Gerry) Broesky, Ken (Sherri) Wiebe, Janice Wiebe, Karen (Abe) Broesky, Marge (George) Plett, and eleven nieces and nephews. David suffered from a variety of physical and mental ailments from early childhood through to his adult life. Many times we would see him struggle with everyday issues of life that would seem so simple for the rest of us. The last three years of David’s life were his best. It was during this time that he finally got his own apartment in Steinbach. He was quite an organized person and kept his place very clean. He also maintained some positive friendships during this time. David faithfully attended church at Gospel Chapel in La Broquerie for the past two years. He will be dearly missed by the congregation. David enjoyed watching sports, assembling model cars, riding his prized bicycle, and spending time with the family. We as a family will greatly miss him. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with viewing prior to the service. Interment at Heritage Cemetery.
