Very suddenly, on December 12, 2009 surrounded by her family, our precious gift, Mel Neufeld was returned to Heaven to be with our Heavenly Father. Mel was born on March 7, 1971 in Paraguay (P-World). She came to live in Canada in 1983. She is survived by her love Raj Singha, his three children: Mia, Nick and Jaya and Sparky Einstein; her parents Jake and Helen Neufeld; her brothers and sisters; Brenda (John) Neufeld, Matthew (Lisa) Neufeld, (great nephew Caleb), Jordana; Ken (Suzanne) Neufeld, Jordan and Joshua; Wes (Amanda) Neufeld, Kelsea and Kenzie; Erica (Jason) Toews, Colten, Kaylee and Keanna; Jack Neufeld and Mike Neufeld. She will also be missed by many other family members and countless friends. Mel was a true friend and gift to all, making a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was always full of life and loved to laugh. Family was very important to her and she was a mom to all her nephews and nieces and her two younger brothers. Although she loved to be the center of attention, she would help anyone in need without question or hesitation. Mel, our lives are changed forever. We will always miss you, your beautiful smile, your contagious laugh, and yes, even your knack soat and watermelon eating ways. You will always be loved, in our hearts forever, until we meet again. Viewing for Mel will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at the Blumenort EMC Church on Thursday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery.
