<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Calogero &ldquo;Charlie&rdquo; Sciangula, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away peacefully in the early hours of June 2^nd, 2018 with his wife and daughter by his side.</p> <p>Left to mourn his passing are his wife Joanne, daughter Jenna, sons Jonathan (Karleigh), Matt and Joel; His step-children Megan, Deanna, and Mario (Dana) along with many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brother Phil (Rosa), sisters Anna-Maria, Josie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>Charlie was predeceased by his parents Giambattista and Francesca, as well as his brother Nicolino.</p> <p>For the last 17 years, Charlie worked as an Electrical Estimator at E.G. Penner Building Centre in Steinbach, MB, where he had formed significant friendships with many customers and colleagues over the years. They cherished his smile, sense of humor and valued his many years of knowledge and experience as an Electrician. &nbsp;</p> <p>Charlie had an immense passion for cooking and also enjoyed spending time golfing with his friends and family. He loved his two German Shepherds, Lisa and Mila, as well as his cat, Star. He was a kind and generous man and an incredible teacher, mentor and friend.</p> <p>Charlie, Dad, you have done great things throughout the duration of your life and have touched many hearts along the way; you will be forever loved and missed.</p> <p>We would like to give a special thanks to the staff on the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Health Sciences Centre for the outstanding care, compassion and comfort that each and every Nurse, Doctor, and Specialist has provided for Charlie and his family during the last ten days of his life.</p> <p>Donations can be made to the family to assist with funeral costs.<br /><br />The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with viewing prior to the service.&nbsp;</p>
