Obituary of Danny Paul Kis

It is with sad hearts that we announce that Danny Paul Kis, of Grunthal passed away late January 11th, 2010. His battle with cancer is now over and he is with his Father in heaven. For this we as a family rejoice. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Theresa, son Michael (Amanda), step children Charlene, Connie (John), April (Kendall), three grandchildren Cassie, Brody and Bailey, his mother Anne, sisters Peggy (Henry), Jeannie (Larry), Shirley (Murray) and brother Larry; as well as two brothers-in-law and their spouses, five sisters-in-law and their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Paul in 1975. Danny was born April 15, 1951 in Steinbach. He was raised in Trentham as a farm boy and soon ventured to Winnipeg to find work. He worked at Wilson Auto Electric for numerous years. He then returned back to his roots and continued to work for Hanover School Division, Loewen Windows and most recently he was employed with Keystone Agri-Motive. The family is grateful for the care that he received from numerous doctors, nurses and health care aides at H.S.C. Ward D-6, Bethesda Hospital and Cancer Care. A viewing will be held Friday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. with devotional to follow at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main St., Steinbach. Interment to follow at the Grunthal Cemetery located on Church Ave. in Grunthal. If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever! Vichnaya Pam’Yat!
