Peacefully on Monday, February 21st, 2005 at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, Nettie Banman passed away at the age of 85 years. She will be sadly missed by one daughter Linda (Eldon) Fuchs, grandchildren Matt, Scott and Dolly (Rhea). Also surviving are two sisters Mary Wieler of Steinbach and Tina (Bob) Penner of Winnipeg, and many relatives and friends. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Peter K. Banman February 22, 2001, parents Jacob and Agatha Funk, five brothers and two sisters. Mom was born in the New Bothwell area December 31, 1919. She was baptized upon confession of her faith May 12, 1940. Mom married Dad June 25, 1954 and together they farmed the homestead until their retirement when they moved to Steinbach in 1986, In January of 2001 they moved to Fernwood where Mom resided until her passing. Mom will be most remembered for her generous heart, patience and love for her family. We will miss you. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Sat., Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 479 Hanover, Steinbach, MB.
