Laural Ann Plett of Fort Frances, ON posted a condolence
Thursday, December 30, 2010
I would like to express sympathy to all my aunts and uncles at the passing of their brother, My uncle Harvey. The last time I saw Uncle Harvey was at the St Adolphe nursing home. I didn't know he had had a stroke and so I don't know if he knew me.
We had Uncle Harvey in our home a number of years ago. We had asked him to preach in our church. I don't remember the sermon, but I remember that he sure didn't need much sleep. I think he was awake half the night!
The year I graduated from Bible College, I went on a trip with my parents to visit my sister and her husband at New Tribes. During that time we also picked up Uncle Harvey at the Toronto airport and he travelled with us. We had also picked up a school bus. At one time during the trip I was alone with Uncle Harvey in the car and he got us lost from the rest of the family. I was quite upset with him for awhile; didn't really want to travel the rest of the way home alone with him!! We eventually found my parents!
Uncle Harvey was very generous and thoughtful. Praise God He is in glory!
