Peacefully with her loving family at her side Lorna (Cameron) Kehler passed away at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach on February 23rd, 2010 at the age of 76. She was born on Sept 19, 1933 in Emo, Ontario. Lorna married Dave Kehler in Emo on March 19th, 1955 and they had eight children. They started their family in Atikokan, Ontario and moved to several other communities within Manitoba. They settled in Roseau River on the family homestead. Mom devoted her life to raising her family. She spent many hours gardening. She enjoyed telephone chats with her daughter Joanne and sister Betty. She loved watching her boys playing guitar and singing at family gatherings. She enjoyed listening to her great-grandchildren’s songs. Mom loved to knit and crochet, playing cards, reading, cooking and her family was her prized possession. Lorna was predeceased by her husband Dave and daughter Carol, and her parents Oswald & Mabel Cameron, brothers – Glenn, Ross and Donnie Cameron. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joanne (Greg) Bailey, and children, Natalie, Karen, Andrew, Rachel, Samantha; son, Jerry (Mary) and children, Sheryle (Curtis), Ashley (Joel), Clayton; son, Robert (Alice) and children, Dylan, Dakota; son, Barry (Lorie) and children, Vicky (Russ) and Darcy; son, Randy; son, Murray; son, Rodney (Mireil) and children Courtney and David. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren Austyn, Thayne and Owen. She is also survived by her sister Betty (Werner) Siegel and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Bethesda Hospital staff of doctors and nurses for their wonderful care and support to our family. The funeral services will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB on Monday March 1st, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing prior to service.
