Ralph M. Guenther, age 77, of Steinbach, MB, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, March 8, 2010 at Bethesda Hospital. Dad was born May 26, 1932 in Steinbach to Peter S. and Agnes Guenther, the fourth of five energetic boys. He married Marlene Giesbrecht September 6th, 1952 and together they were blessed with two daughters and three sons. Dad’s first passion was for Jesus Christ. This was clearly evident beginning with his baptism at age 17 and in his involvement within the church as a deacon, elder, treasurer and Sunday School teacher. Dad took any chance he could to spend time praying, and he faithfully attended many weekly prayer meetings. Dad loved God his Savior; he loved the scriptures and the church and he loved his family. He is survived by his wife Marlene, his children Patricia (Mike) Warkentin, Curt (Carol), Tom (Sharon), and Jane (Kevin) Braun, 11 grandchildren and three brothers. He was predeceased by his son Mark and one brother. A devotional will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Bible Church, 290 First St., Steinbach.
