Obituary of Marc Nadeau
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Marc Nadeau on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.
He is survived by his parents Antonin and Rose-Marie, his son Michel (Renée), daughters Johanne (Pascal), Rachelle, grandchildren Katie, Yanykk, Meech and brothers Réal, Pierre (Suzanne), sisters Gisèle (Earl), Hélène (Patrick) and many nieces and nephews.
Marc was born April 24, 1957 at Ste-Anne hospital. He was a hard-working man and extremely devoted to his work. At the age of 18, Marc started working for the Manitoba Highway Department. He then accepted a position with Hugh Munro Construction where he was still employed and created many life-long friendships.
Marc had a beautiful smile and will always be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather. He loved watching his grandchildren grow and play - as he was always present in their lives. Marc did so much yet asked for so little. He will be forever loved, forever remembered and dearly missed as a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
The family would like to sincerely thank Doctors Toews and Krahn, the Palliative care unit, the resident students, and staff at Bethesda Hospital for their care and being so kind to Marc.
Cremation has taken place. Prayers will take place at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Joachim Roman Catholic in La Broquerie.
Donations in Marc’s memory may be made to The Bethesda Foundation (Bethesda CancerCare or Bethesda Hospital Palliative Care), 316 Henry St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0P9
