Obituary of Frank Tysoski

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at the Bethesda Hospital at the age of 78, with his family by his side. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne of 57 years, his four children Diane (Gerry), Dennis (Shellie), Brian (Cheri) and Jo-Anne (Howard), grandchildren Stephanie (Shaun), Crystal (Daniel), Candace (Steve), Jennifer and Ryan, great grandchildren Taylor, Brody, Brenna and Jackson, his siblings Mary, Tony, Olga, Evelyn, Janet (Leon), Borden, Sonia (Bill), and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Carol, his brother Russell, and his brothers-in-law Joe, Peter and Frank. Dad was born on April 15th, 1931 in Sandilands, and was raised and lived there his entire life. He went to school in Sandilands and started his work life at the age of fourteen as a water boy with the CNR. He then worked in the bush with his dad, he returned to the CNR, moved on to Natural Resources, worked for a brief time at Borger Brothers, and then completed a 27-year career serving his community as a grader operator with the Department of Highways, retiring on April 3rd, 1992. At the age of 19, dad met mom, the love of his life, and they married on November 22nd, 1952. They were doubly blessed when their twins Diane and Dennis were born. Brian followed a few years later, and their family was complete with the birth of Jo-Anne. We would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Hospital for their care and compassion for dad and our entire family during his stay. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow at Sandilands Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in dad’s memory can be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 – 310 Broadway; Wpg., MB R3C 0S6 or The Lung Association Assoc, Manitoba, 629 McDermot Avenue; Wpg., MB R3A 1P6.
