With great sadness, Bill Martens peacefully passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Bethesda Hospital at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Kathy Martens, sons Keith Martens and friend Myrna Penner, Kurt and Colette Martens, Korey Martens and friend Cheryl Hiebert, brothers Cork (Sara), Curly (Erna), Jake (Lucy),he was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Martens and his parents Cornie and Mary Martens. Dad cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. He would always make everyone feel welcome. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The viewing will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 465 Henry St, Steinbach. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach. The family would like to thank Dr. Reimer, nurses, palliative care workers, and homecare workers for all the support to get through this tough time.
