Obituary of Annie Lepp

Annie Lepp (nee Giesbrecht) passed away at the Bethesda Hospital on November 2, 2011 at age 82. Mom was born in Horndean, MB on July 8th, 1929, and later moved to Austin, MB with her parents Peter and Katherine Giesbrecht. She is survived by her husband, Henry Lepp of 16 years, children John (Anne), Liz (Roger), Sharon (Harv), Barb (Dave), Irene (John), Judy (John), Jane (Gary), Irma (Walter), Dennis, Jack (Paula), Steven (Audra). Mom is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Mary and Hilda, and brothers John, Henry, Abe and Ed. Mom was predeceased by her first husband John C Neufeld of 26 years, a son Peter James Neufeld, her 2nd husband Jacob K Enns of 15 years, a grandson Michael James Friesen, sisters Tina and Lena, and brothers Peter and Jake. Pallbearers are Jeremy Neufeld, Jonathan Torhjelm, Kim Rempel, Justin Neufeld, Nathan Kroeker, Melissa Steenson. Honorary Pallbearers are John Friesen, Danny Bartel, Patty Irvine, Shawn Lepp, Brayden Lepp. We remember mom as a person who loved the Bible. This made her loving and accepting of everyone. She had a great sense of humor. She loved gardening, travelling and flowers. The joy of her life was seeing her grandchildren playing and watching them grow up. Dad, words cannot express how much we appreciate all the love and care you gave to our mother. We love you dad. As a family we would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Bethesda Hospital as well as Dr. Doerksen for the wonderful care given to our mom. We love you mom. Rest safe in the arms of Jesus. Public viewing will be held at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 from 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. followed by a short devotional. A Celebration of Mom’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 479 Hanover St., Steinbach MB. There will be a private family burial prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CMC Mission Fund, Box 968; Steinbach, MB R5G 1M7.
