Obituary of Denise Alice Savard

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, in her home, on April 28, 2010 at the age of 95. Denise will lovingly be remembered by her children Armand (Louise), Georgette (Jim deceased) Wanlin, Ernest (Marguerite), Gabriel, David (Yvonne), Antoine (Denise), Andy (Colleen) and granddaughter Debbie who she raised from the age of three months. She will also be missed by her 18 grand children, 25 great grand children and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Cyprien. Denise was born in Ste. Agathe on July 17, 1914. She married Cyprien in 1935 and raised her seven children on the family farm in La Broquerie, Manitoba. Denise cherished spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Her sense of adventure took her on many journeys traveling both at home and abroad. She loved playing cards (Skipbo), enjoyed games and story telling of her younger years on the farm. She will be missed at our frequent breakfasts at Chicken Chef where she would eat and chat about her week’s activities. She was deeply loved by all and will be missed and never forgotten. She will live in our hearts forever. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Monday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church in La Broquerie. If friends so desire donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society; 193 Sherbrook Street; Wpg., MB R3C 2B7
