Peacefully, on the evening of May 8th at Vita Hospital, Marie Rose Desjardins, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Emilien and daughter Suzanne. She leaves to cherish her memory, Jeanette (Arlend) Harder, Loraine (Jim) Hurry, Sylvia (Arnold) Johannson, Louise (Warren) Lovejoy, Denise (late husband Garold) Olson, Richard Desjardins, David (Linda) Desjardins, Terry (Robert) Larochelle, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family. Very special thanks from the Desjardins family to local Home Care workers, LifeCare Medical Center of Roseau, Vita Extended Care Facility, and Vita Hospital, who gracefully and thoughtfully cared for Rose. The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14th, at 1:00 p.m. at Vassar Catholic Church followed by a remembrance and celebration at the town hall. She is a “Rose of the garden” and into the garden she has returned.
