Obituary of Gordon Plett
Gordon T. Plett
1937- 2006
Peacefully on September 28, 2006 at the age of 69 years, Gordon T. Plett went to be with his Lord and Savior. To the testimony of his faith he was baptized August 12, 1951.
He is survived by his companion Marina Plett-Lyle of Wpg., Betty Wiebe of Steinbach, Wilbert (Mabel) of Edson, Alberta, Edwin (Esther) Plett of Steinbach, Henry (Helen) Plett of Calgary, Mary (Cornie) Thiessen of Hadashville, Ken (Katie) Plett of Blumenort, Cathy (Bob) Francois of Saskatoon, brother-in-law Dennis Horne of Shanovan, SK,
Amelia (Bill) Krasniuk of Steinbach, and many nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his parents David R and Katherine Plett, his sister Minna at infancy, brother David and sister Joyce Horne and step mom Gertrude.
Gordon loved the outdoors. In his growing up years he worked in logging camp and went on to driving truck for C.T Loewens and a feed company. His last driving job he had was Reimer Express until he became sick due to Parkinson’s.
Special thanks to his main caregiver Marina and to the 7th floor staff of the Deer Lodge Center in Winnipeg.
Services will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on October 4th, at 2 p.m. with viewing at 1 p.m. Interment at Blumenort EMC Cemetery.
