Peacefully after a short illness, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Aganetha (Nettie) Rempel of Steinbach, MB. passed away on February 22, 2000 at the Bethesda Hospital, age 86 years Funeral service will be held at the Steinbach C.M.C. on Monday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Peter Hoeppner officiating. Interment will follow at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Cemetery. She will be sadly missed by four daughters: Mary (Ruben) Brandt, Surrey, B.C. Nettie (Edwin) Harder, Surrey B.C., Esther (Harry) Falk, Mitchell and Linda (Abe) Friesen, Steinbach, one son John (Margaret) Rempel, Mitchell, one daughter-in-law Lorna (Jim) Funk, Steinbach, one son-in-law Frank (Margaret) Dyck, Mission, B.C., 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also one brother Jake (Evelyn) Wiens, Wanoch, B.C. and one sister-in-law Ann (Jake) Neudorf of Altona She was predeceased by her husband George D. Rempel in 1987, one daughter Sara Dyck in 1984 and one son Ed Rempel in 1981. She was also predeceased by her parents John and Aganetha Wiens, one brother John in 1996 and a brother and a sister in infancy. The family would like to give a big thank you to the Resthaven Nursing Home for the wonderful care she was given and the nursing staff at the Bethesda Hospital. Also to Birchwood Funeral Chapel of Steinbach, who are in care of arrangements.
