David Charles Allen, of Steinbach, MB. beloved husband of Eva Allen passed away peacefully at the Bethesda Hospital on Monday, April 24, 2000 at the age of 71 years. Besides his loving wife Eva, he will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children: Sharon Santrau (Elie), Laurie Shabaga, Brenda Allen (Stan), Danielle Giesbrecht (Wayne) and D.J. Allen as well as his grandchildren: Tiana and Jeremy, Jason, Scott, Darka and David, Amy and Shanlee, Kristoffer, Randalyn and Jordan. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers, Tony Allen (Doreen) and Bunty Allen (Audrey) and his sisters: Yvonne, Irene, Ada and Bobbie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Violet Allen and Uncles Jack, George, Arthur and Gerald Parsons and Auntie Mae McIvor. Dave was born in Lyleton, MB. and grew up there. He moved to Winnipeg and in 1953 he met and married Eva Wiebe. In accordance with Dave’s wishes has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 27 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel - 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Clink officiating.
