Peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2000, Peter T. Funk of Colony Bergthal, Paraguay, passed away at the home of his children in Mitchell, MB. , aged 80 years. Cherishing his memory are sons: Bernie (Mary) of Paraguay , David (Mary), of Paraguay, Eddy (Diane) of Mitchell, Jake (Darlene), of Mitchell, daughter Erna (Hein) Doerksen of Paraguay, daughters-in-law: Judith Funk of Paraguay and Erna (George P.) Doerksen both of Paraguay , 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Susanna of 59 years in November, 1999, his son Andrew in March, 2000 and his son Leonard in April 1968 and 2 children in infancy. The funeral service for Peter T. Funk was held on Thursday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach CMC with Pastors Ed Wiebe and Stan Kehler officiating, with interment in Silberfeld cemetery.
