Following a lengthy illness, Nettie Hiebert wife of Ben K.Hiebert of Grunthal , MB. passed away peacefully at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach on Tuesday, August 14, 2000 at the age of 76. Nettie is survived by her husband Ben, 1 son Abe “Trang” (Sharon) Doerksen of Calgary, AB. 3 daughters; Dianne (Murray) Howell, Lottie Joyce both of Winnipeg, Sarah (Miles) Goldstein of Hazelridge, MB. and 9 grandchildren: George & Jonathan Howell; Carrie & Mark Doerksen; Jack & Diana Winram; Tobiah, Raz & Zoe Goldstein. Also surviving are 2 brothers Cornie D. and Nick D. Wiens; 1 sister Gertrude Wiebe plus half brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Abram F. Doerksen, 1 son Perry and 1 daughter Susan. The Funeral service was held on Friday, August 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, New Bothwell, MB. with the Rev. Henry Schroeder officiating. Interment followed in Niverville Cemetery. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to CancerCare or Sommerfeld Church Building Fund.
