Passed away peacefully on August 21, 2000 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach at the age of 61 years. Vern will be sadly missed by his wife Irma, daughters Paula (Rick), Pam (Jeff), granddaughters Dana and Jenna, as well as his brothers Al (Carol), Don (Anne), Norm (Myrna), Ralph (Hannah), sister Mary Ann, his Kroeker in-laws, and many nephew, nieces and friends. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23 from 7-8 p.m. at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Bible Church in Steinbach, corner of 1st St. and Reimer Ave.
