Mary Kiansky (nee Fedirchuk) age 98, passed away on October 21, 2000 at the Bethesda Personal Care Home in Steinbach where she had resided for the past three and half years. Mary came to Canada in 1903 with her parents Nykola and Hafia Fedirchuk and settled in Tolstoi and later moved to Arbakka and then to Vita. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four daughters and two sons: Olga (Bill) Shuvera, Anne (Ted) Kostynyk, Jean Zaporzan, Iris (Jim) Fenwick. Sons Mike (Frances), Eugene (Florence) and their families. Four sisters: Molly Melnyk, Freida Beaton, Nellie Kostynyk and half sisters Stella and Helen. As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro in 1960, her sons Bill and Jerry, daughter-in-law Jean, son-in-law Melton and Stan, grandchildren Kenneth, Carol and Darryl, three brothers, three sisters and one half-brother. Prayers were held on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Vita. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ihor Royik presiding. Interment took place in the Parish Cemetery.
