I met Martin working for the Northern Development Agreement Office in Thompson. I can still see Martin wearing his beige coloured government issued parka and his winter boots. Martin was a nice guy. I can fondly recall trips to Winnipeg on PWA to attend meetings in Winnipeg. Bright, intelligent and never lost for words, Martin was interesting and compassionate about life. He liked music and I can remember him taking me to the Club Morocco on Portage Avenue. Martin would share his knowledge and experience of the north with anyone. I can remember him telling me about growing up in Norway House and the moving from Toronto to this small community. Martin was a great guy and a good parent. My deep condolences to his family.

This branch of the Vos family was one of the most spirited and Martin was a big part of that spirit. His smile and laugh warmed every room he was in. We were in different parts of the country for much of our lives(Manitoba and Ontario) but we spent time together at the funeral of his Mom, my Tante Lily. His joy of life will be greatly missed. Love to all. Cousin Art

Martin, I will miss all the conversations that we shared when you came to the office as our "lotto captain". I knew that once you were finished with the lotto business of the day, that we would enjoy a little time to just shoot the breeze. I was so touched when you came to see me on my retirement day. You were a good friend and always the gentleman. Rest in peace my friend.
