“….I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 He was born September 9, 1961 to John and Bertha Banman in Quellenkolnie, Mexico. Wilmer spent his early years in Mexico and then moved to Manitoba in 1974 when he was 12 years old. At the age of 25, he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized upon his faith in the Evangelical Fellowship Church. Wilmer married me, Annie Wall on May 9, 1987. We lived in Steinbach until 1994 and in Kleefeld until the present. God blessed our union with two daughters, Tiffany Jolyn, June 2, 1991 and Tamara Nicole January 6, 1994. Wilmer’s interests outside of his family were getting to know people, enjoying his work, which included farming and trucking, the outdoors, especially waterfalls, and music. On Wednesday January 12 after a short hospital stay, Wilmer went to be with his Lord. His memory will be cherished by me, his wife Annie, daughters Tiffany and Tamara. He will be also sadly missed by his parents John and Bertha Banman, 2 brothers Alvin and Levi, 2 sisters Sarah and Mary and their families. His mother –in-law Anna Wall, 5 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, and their families, uncles, aunts, and cousins also grieve his passing. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever!” Romans 11:36 Funeral Services were held on Sunday, January 16 at Evangelical Mennonite Church, Kleefeld, MB. with Pastor Abe Bergen officiating. Interment took place at the churchyard cemetery.
