Peacefully on January 8, 2001 Vera Rempel went to be with her Lord and Saviour with her family by her side at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach. She leaves to cherish her love and memory her daughter-in-law Frances and sons Bruce (Betty) and Gilbert (Ann), 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, her brother Leslie Churchill and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack (John) in 1976, her son Elmer in 1988, 2 grandchildren in infancy and her 2 sisters. The funeral service for Vera was held Saturday, January 13, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Badger Cemetery. Pallbearers were Vance Rempel, Ted Ewonchuk, Richard Kolesar, Blair Dodge, Bob Ewonchuk, and Bryan Ewonchuk. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Rest Haven for their excellent loving care.
