Peter K. Banman of Steinbach, MB passed away peacefully Thursday, February 22, 2001. Peter will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Nettie of 46 years, daughter Linda (Eldon) Fuchs; grandchildren Matt, Scott and Dolly; sister Mary Doerksen, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Maria Banman, seven brothers and one sister. Dad was born on July 16, 1920 on their family farm in Blumengard, Manitoba. He was baptized May 27, 1947. Dad married Nettie Funk on June 25, 1954. They farmed together until their retirement in June 1986 when they moved to Steinbach. The funeral service was held Sunday, February 25, 2001 at the Steinbach Chortitzer Mennonite Church with burial at Heritage Cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Toews and staff and the Bethesda Hospital for their care of Dad.
