Peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach our Dad's journey through earthly life ended. We rejoice knowing God has embraced him with open arms in heavenly rest. He will be greatly missed by his girlfriend and wife of 45 years, Irene. He'll also be forever loved by his children: Jeanette (Ron) and daughters, Ashlyn and Daenica; Gerald (Cindy) and children, Samuel, Spencer, and Sophia; Kendale (Teona) and daughters, Hailey, Kaia, and Anya; Anita (John) and daughter, Vienna. He'll always remain the big brother to Leonard (Rhea) and Margaret and Charlotte. Dad had a big heart for others. Lives were touched through the family business and his community outreach. Dad will be missed by his many friends. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach on Sunday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Blumenort with interment at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery.
