Passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Steinbach on August 16, 2001 at the age of 77 years. She is survived by brothers Ed of Paraguary, Henry (Tina) of Paraguay, Abe (Jessie) of Steinbach, MB and sister Helen Doerksen of Perth, ON, one brother-in-law David Klippenstein of Rosa, MB, three sisters-in-law Violet Doerksen of Steinbach, Mary Klippenstein of Rosa and Anna Doerksen of Paraguay as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Abram and Helena Doerksen, three brothers John, Peter and George Doerksen, sister Susan Klippenstein, one brother-in-law Neil Doerksen, two sisters-in-law Tina Doerksen and Nettie Doerksen. The funeral service for Katherina Doerksen will be held Monday, August 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Sommerfelder Church. Interment at Heritage Cemetery. We, the family, want to thank Dr. Hamm and the Diabetes Association who looked after her medical needs so faithfully and all her friends at Linden Place for being a friend to her in her lonely hours.
