Obituary of James Earl Kreger

James Kreger passed away suddenly, on August 20, 2001 in Snow Lake, MB at the age of 51 years. Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years Eva (Feenstra), son Michael and grandson Brett, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Robert and grandson Zachary. He is also survived by his mother Phyllis Kreger, two brothers, three sisters and their families, father and mother-in-law Ike and Jessie Feenstra, six brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and their families. He was predeceased by his father Daniel, brother Lynn, and a sister in infancy. Jim was born and raised in Rainy River, ON. He married Eva in 1971 and moved to northern Manitoba where they started their family. Jim was a hard worker and for the past 24 years was employed with Midwest Drilling, a job that took him many places, most recently Snow Lake, MB. The outdoors was something Jim loved and his many interests included hunting and fishing. He loved going for a drive in the country to look for wildlife. Jim could often be found in the local coffee shop where he acquired many friends who will also miss him. For the last few years, it was his grandchildren that brought great joy to his life. The Funeral Service was held Friday, August 24, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with Pastor Dave Loeppky officiating. Burial at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach. If desired, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St.; Wpg., MB R3B 2H8 “In Our Hearts Forever”
