With his family at his side, Jacob Dyck, age 52, passed into eternity on Thursday, September 20, 2001. Although his time on earth was short, he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Elma, his children Robert (Veronika), Alvin and Angela; his parents Jakob and Olga Dyck; his sisters Kaethe (Heinrich) Neufeld and Rosemary (Roland) Sierks, and their children; his mother-in-law Anna Reimer, his sisters-in-law Eve (Craig) Sidwall, Marlene (Darren) Johnston, brother-in-law Alfred (Diana) and their children. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Stonewall Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care of our husband, father, son and brother. The family is also extremely grateful for the prayerful support shown by many friends. Special thanks to Pastor Durksen and his wife, Esther, for their loving support. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 24, 10:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street at Cheriton: Viewing will take place Sunday, September 23, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church with devotional at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Jake’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
