Arnold Unrau was born in Steinbach, MB on June 9, 1968 and passed away Sept 5, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at age 42. He is survived by his parents Henry and Mary Unrau of Niverville; siblings Rachel (David) Hill, Herta (Michael) Wiebe, Zerlina (Allen) Buhler, Jessy (Karen) Unrau and seven nephews and eight nieces. Arnold was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when he was six years old but despite all his struggles physically, he attended school and graduated from grade 12 at Niverville Colligate and in 2001 graduated with a diploma in Business Administration from Red River College in Winnipeg. He lived a very independent life and enjoyed being outdoors. He had a passion for hockey and was a dedicated Edmonton Oilers fan. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach. The funeral service will take place Thursday, Sept. 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Niverville CMC Church, 99 First St. S, Niverville, with viewing prior to the service.
