Jacob (Jake) N. Harder passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Jake is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his children Ron (Roberta), Carol (Hart), John (Annie), Wayne (Cathy), his grandchildren Andrea, Jordan, Meron, Sanni and Liam, special friends Helia deAndrade, her daughter Filomena and her children Carter and Isla. Jake was predeceased by his parents Gerhard and Katharina Harder and thirteen brothers and sisters. Funeral Services to be held on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date. The family would like to express our appreciation to Dr. Marian Shaker and the staff of the Selkirk General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to our father and our family during this difficult time.
