Dan passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach on September 19, 2010. He was born in 1919 on a farm in Greenland, MB. He was raised on his parent’s farm in Clearsprings and has been farming his own farm since 1943. Dan leaves behind his wife and best friend Gladys; two sons, Brian (Bev) and Ken; three granddaughters, Breann (Tyler), Brenna (Trevor), and Bernna; one great granddaughter, Emily; two sisters; nieces, nephews and many very good friends. Dan was predeceased by his three brothers, one sister and his son Bill in 1975. A memorial service for Dan will be held on Wednesday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Private family burial to take place in the Clearspring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clearspring Cemetery, the Bethesda Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
