On September 19, 2010, Justina Braun (nee Dueck) of Grunthal, MB, joyfully and peacefully went home. Her family would like to announce and celebrate the occasion on her behalf. Born on June 13, 1939 near Altona, Manitoba to Jacob and Sarah Dueck, Justina grew up with brothers Henry and Jacob. Her parents and her brother Jacob predeceased her. Justina married Peter Braun, the love of her life for fifty-two years, on July 25, 1958. Together they received faith to welcome and raise nine children—Rona Dianne, Patrick Henry, Cameron Jacob, Sarah Lucille, Jason Marius, Timothy John, Tanya Marie, Barbara Ruth and Jeanne LaFaye. Justina lived to love and enjoy 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. After a lifetime of struggle with numerous health issues, Justina went home quickly and unexpectedly in the end, with her family at her side. Throughout all those years and in spite of experiencing much pain and discomfort herself, her warmth and love was felt and cherished by many. “When your heart with heavenly light is radiating, You yourself become a sun in all you do. Who can keep these gentle rays from penetrating, Which from Heaven are reflected out through you?” Her husband, children, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and many friends and relatives will dearly miss the heavenly sunshine that reflected out from this warm, generous heart. The funeral service for Justina Braun will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 Aat 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, Manitoba. Interment will follow at the Grunthal Cemetery in Grunthal, MB and a memorial feast at Tache Christian Fellowship near Landmark, Manitoba.
