Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother left us peacefully in her sleep, at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home on October 9, 2010. Anna Lohrenz, was born on March 9, 1912, ninety-eight years ago in Dyurmeny, Crimea, to parents Philip Wiebe and Maria Rempel Wiebe. Along with her family, she reached Canada’s shores at Saint John NB on her 18th birthday. She settled in Domain, MB, then, with her marriage to Kornelius Voth in 1936, farmed at Ste Elizabeth. After her husband died tragically in 1946, leaving her to care for five young children, she met and married Peter Lohrenz in 1950 and moved to Whitewater, and later to Winnipeg.
