On Tuesday, Oct. 12, James “Jim” McElroy passed away at the Grunthal Menno Home and went home to be with the Lord. James leaves his many friends from Grunthal to mourn his passing. A short service will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, at 3:00 at the Grunthal Menno Home. James will be buried on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Dunrea cemetery in Dunrea, Manitoba. James was a fairly quiet person but he loved people. He was always interested in what others were up to and could always be heard asking “So, how are you doing?”. He had a gentle way about him and had a ready smile. James’ faith in God was simple but strong. “Jesus will take care of them” was something he would say when he heard that someone he knew had passed away. It is those same words that will comfort us now as we mourn James’ passing. “Jesus will take care of him”.
