Obituary of Carole Elaine Pearce

Carole Elaine Pearce, daughter of Henry and Mary Thiessen was born on December 24th, 1941 in Warroad, Minnesota. She attended school in Swift and Warroad. Carole worked in Southern Minnesota for a number of years after graduating high school. She then returned to Warroad and worked in an accounting office. Through church friends she met and married Allan Pearce on April 14th, 1973. They lived on a farm outside Moosomin, Saskatchewan. After Allan’s passing in 1976 Carole moved to Steinbach, Manitoba where she raised her two daughters. She enjoyed sewing, reading and having coffee with friends. She was always ready with a laugh. Carole was a member and volunteer at Stonybrook Fellowship Church. Carole passed away on December 17th, 2010 at home at the age of 68. Carole is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (George) Wiens of Steinbach, MB, Lisa (Pasith) Phommarath of Winnipeg, MB, three granddaughters Sidney, Melissa and Natasha, and one grandson, Alex. She is also survived by brothers and sisters Rosella Meleshko, Alva Larson, Elroy (Pat) Thiessen and Harold (Lois)Thiessen. Carole was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Allan, niece Michelle, and nephew Paul. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Interment at Moosomin, SK on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. If friends so desire donations may be made to The Bethesda Foundation (for Bethesda Cancer Care), 316 Henry St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0P9
