On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the age of 85 years, Dad passed away after a courageous struggle, with his family at his side, to be reunited with our Mom. He was born on May 27, 1926 in the RM of Hanover to John and Maria Kehler. Dad leaves behind to remember him, his five children, Ron (Margaret) Kehler, Carol (Fred) Kroeker, Lorna (Harry) Warkentin, Russ (Carol) Kehler, Randy (Alice) Kehler; as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, two sisters and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his wife Susan, his parents, and two brothers. A celebration of Dad’s life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Interment will be at Silberfeld Cemetery following lunch. Last respects can be paid prior to the service. We would like to thank his home care aids and the nurses at the Ste. Anne Hospital for the care Dad received during his stay.
