With great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Antoine Jolicoeur on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Ste-Anne Hospital at the age of 77 years. Antoine leaves to cherish his memory two brothers Edouard, Narcisse and wife Roberta, six sisters Rose-Délima Lafrenière, Antoinette and husband Raymond Desautels, Rose-Anna Normandeau, Adrienne Cadez, Aline Simard, Cécile Danylchuk, two sisters-in-law Alida Jolicoeur, Lorraine Jolicoeur, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his close nephews and nieces Renell (Colleen), Jolyne (Michael), Karyne (Denis) and Mikaël, as well as by his very helpful neighbours Ron and Russ. Antoine was predeceased by his parents Eugène and Rose Délima, two brothers Alphonse and Léon, and five brothers-in-law Alain Lafrenière, Romano Cadez, Louis Simard, Elphège Normandeau and Robert Danylchuk. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church in Ste-Anne, Manitoba with Father René Chartier, celebrant. Interment of the ashes will take place at a later date. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care Antoine received at the Ste-Anne Hospital and the St-Boniface General Hospital. M’n oncle, you were a very special uncle to us and our little ones Samuel, Élyza, Marquis and Sophya. We will never forget the wonderful times shared with you, the delicious meals you prepared, the great bike rides we took, the wonderful laughs we had, the ‘paparmanne’ you offered, and those memorable driving lessons you gave us in your field when we were too young to drive! We will miss you, but never forget how wonderful you were and how much you loved us, took care of us and taught us. You were not only our uncle, but also our friend. We love you m’n oncle Antoine.
