It is with a mixture of sadness and happiness that the children of Dolores announce her passing. After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Dolores passed away peacefully on July 21 at Bethesda Personal Care Home in Steinbach surrounded by her loved ones. Dolores’ memory will live on in the hearts of her children Chad (Tina), Charlotte (Tony), Sean, Ian and Beth-Ann (Stefan) and her former husband and friend Ronald McKenzie. She also leaves behind her sister Diana, brothers Larry (Rita), Roy and Rocky (Kathy), plus many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She follows her parents Peter and Margaret Wiebe, her step-mother Mae and her first husband Clifford Clark. A special thank you goes out to the staff and nurses of Bethesda Personal Care Home for their wonderful care these past few years and in her final days especially. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery to follow reception. Viewing will be prior to the service. Pallbearers for the ceremony will be her nephews Michael Wiebe, Derek Wiebe, Dennis Wiebe, Daniel Wiebe, Derek Fontaine and Charles Bourgeois. Honourary Pallbearers will be Devon Wiebe and Andrew Wiebe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
