Peacefully on Saturday May 11, 2013 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, Anna passed away at the age of 98. Her twin Julius preceded her in 1987. Ann is survived by two sisters, one brother, two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Through the years Anna lived in Winnipeg and Minnedosa. She moved back to Steinbach in 1998 to be closer to her relatives. Anna travelled to Halifax, Arizona, Edmonton and Vancouver by bus many times. She loved gardening, and having lots of flowers, fishing and doing hand work. Anna’s passion was people; she loved cooking and entertaining family and friends right up to the time she went into full time care. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, with viewing prior to the service. Burial at Grunthal Cemetery. We the family would like to extend our appreciation to all the caregivers at Birchwood Apartments, St. Adolphe and Rest Haven nursing homes where she lived. Anna called them her “Angels” Thank you. Special thanks to Pastor Ron Taron for officiating at her service, and for her church family at the Church of God for all their love and support over the years.
