“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”-Matthew 5:7 Surrounded by family, Elizabeth Hiebert (nee Wiebe) passed away peacefully at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn her passage her four children and their spouses: Burt & Louise Hiebert, Jean Hiebert & Wayne Janz, Wayne Hiebert & Candace Lagace, and Elizabeth Forestell & Craig Kolisniak; nine grandchildren and their spouses: Leon Hiebert, Jenn & Paul Loeppky, Heather and Scott Wallace, Russell Hiebert & Tiffany Fries, Robyn & Jordan Simon, Rikki Hiebert, Quinn & Serenity Hiebert, Sarah Forestell, and Paige Forestell; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are six siblings: Mary Wiebe, Helen Hiebert, Susan Hiebert, Tina Neufeld, Arnie Wiebe and David Wiebe. She was predeceased by her husband Abram Hiebert and children Ricky and Terry. She was also predeceased by siblings Margaret, Peter and Jake. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Hespeler Cemetery in Niverville.
