Merle Margaret Bailey Lorette , 72, of Steinbach, passed away June 26, 2009. Merle is survived by her loving husband, John of 51 years, her children: Leanne (Randy) Toms, Karen (Kevin) Toms, Darren (Joy) Lorette, Shirley (James) Haegeman, and Laureen (Andy) Stilling; her grandchildren: Chasta Toms, Kyla Toms and friend David Ash, Marcia Toms and friend Waqas Mian, Cheryl Toms and friend Greg Schnell, Kellie Toms, Alyssa Lorette, and Devon Lorette; step-grandchildren Jessica Haegeman and Patrick Haegeman. Merle was predeceased by her parents Harry and Beatrice Bailey; brothers Horace, David and Rennie, sisters Evelyn Anderson and Marjorie Klatt, brothers-in-law Melford Klatt, Bruce Anderson, and John Brown, and sister-in-law Florence Bailey. The memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 5:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel.
