Mary Klippenstein, nee Suderman, was born March 23, 1933 on the family farm in the Greenfarm School District north east of Winkler, MB. She attended the rural school and Winkler Collegiate. In 1957 she married Alvin Klippenstein; they were blessed with son, Bruce, in 1967. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Bruce (Elizabeth) Linton, grandsons Matthew, William, and Michael, brothers Jim and Verla; Peter and Vera; Henry and Margaret; Jack and Irene; sister Linda Paul; many nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She also leaves two brothers-in-law; Johnny Klippenstein; Norman (Laura). She was predeceased by her husband Alvin in 1990, her parents Jacob and Margaret Suderman, sister Gladys, brother David (Kay), nephews Darren and Wayne Suderman, and great nephew Christopher. Mary discovered her cancer in 1999. She lived with cancer and treatments for 11 years; then another year with palliative care at home. She was admitted to Riverview Hospital on September 6, 2011. On November 18, 2011 she moved to the Grace Hospice where she died on February 15, 2012. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, Stafford & Carter, Winnipeg MB with ash interment at a later date.
