It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Dueck, age 50 of Steinbach, Manitoba at Bethesda Hospital on Friday, January 7, 2011. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Janine and two sons Cameron and Matt. He will also be remembered by his sisters Adina (George) Boschman, Ruth (Wayne) Stewart, Elma (Garnet) Isaac and his brothers Bernie (Darlene), David (Margaret), Jim (Lynn), one brother-in-law Dan Hiebert, many nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was pre-deceased by his parents Diedrich and Susanna Dueck and sister Shirley Hiebert. Robert married Janine Dumont on March 4, 1989 and they shared 21 years together. During this time God blessed them with two sons; Cameron in 1993 and Matt in 1995. The births of their sons were the miracles in his life. The family is grateful for Tim Ryan for walking on this journey with them. We as a family would also like to express thanks to Dr. Krahn, Palliative Care staff, Cancer Care staff and the nursing staff at Bethesda Hospital for the care given to Robert. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Southland Community Church, Hwy 52 W, Steinbach with viewing at the church prior to the service. Robert will be laid to rest at Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach.
