Sharon Ann May Marshall (nee Brezinski) age 57, passed away before her time on November 10th, 2010 with her family by her side. The strength and courage she displayed during these 12 days demonstrated her beautiful spirit and love of family. Left to cherish her wonderful memory is her newlywed husband John Unrau, her parents Carl and Jean Brezinski, her beautiful daughter Sandra Jone (Richard), charming son Shaun Marshall (Silvana) and grandchildren Caitlin and Jaden Jone, Jordan and Matteo Marshall. mother-in law Anna Loewen, stepchildren Jacqueline (Joseph) Martens, Greg (Shirley) Unrau and Melissa (Andy) Harder, grandchildren Savannah and Alex Martens, Celina and Calvin Unrau, Brandy and Isabella Harder; five brothers and sisters Dan Brezinski and son Thomas, Dale Brezinski (Sandra), children Ryan and Trevor, Wendy Janis (Tim), children Leighton and Ashleigh, Kim Mahoney (Vince), children Greg, Melanie, Samantha, Justin Jennifer and Shelley Brezinski (Mitch). Sharon’s best friend and confident for 30 years Pauline Post (Stan) and their children will always hold a special place in her heart. She will be missed by all of John’s brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon loved her family and friends, all people and animals especially her pets Zoë, Angel, Chyna, and Jersey. Sharon was community minded. She served on the Seine River School Division board of trustees and embraced this occupation with enthusiasm and excitement. Sharon was highly practical and never lost sight that every decision the board made must benefit the children of the community and that her mission was to ensure every child was given a fair chance. She loved being a trustee and cherished the friendships she made. Sharon served as president for the Marchand Community Centre and worked tirelessly on fundraising ventures to raise money and awareness for many special projects in the community. Sharon was one of the founding members of the Marchand Chapel and established fundraisers that allowed the church to open its doors without enduring any debt. Sharon’s final message to her family was… “I had a good life… so please live a good life. Love each other and always be there for each other. To all my family and friends, I love you. Remember me.” Sharon In lieu of flowers please donate to the Sharon Marshall Memorial Award to ensure her passion for the children within the school division lives forever.
