Obituary of Mary Weber

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Weber announces her passing. Mary Weber,100 years of age passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 8, 2020 at her residence in Sioux Narrows, Ontario due to congestive heart failure. She was born on July 12, 1919 in Gretna area to Henry H. Penner and Maria Paetkau. Mary married Henry D. Wiebe on August 2, 1942 who preceded her in death in 1991. She remarried on June 15, 1996 to Ron Weber who also preceded her in death in 2003.

Mom will forever be lovingly remembered by her 6 children, Henry, Peter, Jake (Debbie), Willy, John (Edna) and daughter, Mary (Bob) Beacham. Her memory will be treasured by her 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also by her sisters Agatha Wiebe, Anne Yaremkewich, brother, Jac Penner and by sister in law, Tina Penner, daughters in law, Twylla Wiebe and Betty Wiebe as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers Henry, Abe, John and sister Sarah as well as by 2 sisters and 2 brothers in infancy.

Mom enjoyed knitting dishcloths and hand towels to give to family members or friends as gifts and was knitting one just 2 days prior to her passing. She also enjoyed the Wheel of Fortune as well as watching the birds and deer outside the living room window. Mary loved going fishing and spending time on the

houseboat when she could. Even though her eyesight was failing, Mom still read her Daily Bread regularly.

Funeral Service for Mary Weber will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with Pastor Allan Dueck officiating. lnterment will follow at the Grunthal Cemetery.

ln lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Arthritis Society or to a charity of one's choice.
