Obituary of Dianne Maria Johnson
Dianne Johnson, aged 72 years, of Steinbach, MB., passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, at Bethesdsa Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
After a brief illness, Dianne went to be with her loving husband Lindsay.
She was predeceased by her husband Lindsay Johnson, her brothers Cpl William “Wayne” Leatherdale, John Leatherdale. Her parents Vernon Landsborough Leatherdale and Leonida Leatherdale.
Left to mourn are her daughter Kellie Patricia King (Bobby) from Ottawa, 2 granddaughters Jenna and Breanna, grandson Shane, 2 step-grandsons, 4 great grand children. Sisters Carolyn (Leatherdale) Dzamon, Verna Nicolls. Sisters-in-law Tannis Corfield and Marlene Gallagher.
Nieces & nephews Kim Leatherdale, Sharon Dennis, David (Dona) & Christopher (Tammi) Hutchings. Becky Baufield, Adam Leatherdale, Carol & Doug Nicolls. Her lifelong friends Allison & Deb. Her good friend Brad Friesen who was such a support to her since Lindsay passed away. Thank you Brad
Dianne was an extremely talented and creative woman. Her creative imagination knew no boundaries. Like her mother before her she was a very skilled Fibre artist earning a great deal of respect and admiration over the years. She won many awards for her beautiful quilts.
She and her husband Lindsay owned and operated a flower shop in Steinbach, Manitoba for many years.
The family would like to thank the Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach for the wonderful care she received prior to her passing.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
We regret to inform everyone that due to the covid situation we have decided to cancel the memorial service.
Sisty-Ugler you are in a happy place now! You will be missed.
