I have many great memories of working with your dad when I was just a young schnoddanase. He was always kind, willing to teach me something or steer me in the right direction when I had forgotten how to do something. Like his not too far away neighbour Bill Heckert, who also farmed alongside construction, they were great mentors. My condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to the Friesen family on the loss of your wonderful father. I have very fond memories of visiting him at Parkview Apts. We had such interesting conversations. He was a very knowledgeable man. He was always reading a good book we could discuss. He knew his genealogy well and mine too. He had an amazing memory and could recall so many interesting anecdotes from his past. We became good friends. May God comfort and bless you as you celebrate his life and say your final goodbyes. Sincerely, LillyAnne Giesbrecht

My sincere condolences to the Friesen family on the loss of a wonderful father. I have many fond memories of your Dad as a customer at McDonald’s on a very regular basis. He was always a pleasure to visit with. Then there were the times he and my Dad would drive out to Falcon Lake together to our cabin for the day. I do believe it was your Dad that was the driver! They had a great routine. We’d have lunch and go out in the boat and then they both needed a nap! He was always a very interesting person to converse with. May you find comfort in knowing that God’s peace is with you at this difficult time.

Passing on my sincere condolences! I always thought it was so cool when your Dad took so many men under his wing and took them for a drive! My Dad always looked forward to the time he got to spend with your Dad! It was always a comfort to know my Dad had a great friend who cared for him!
