When I worked at the Steinbach Aquatic Centre, Linda was a very dedicated, regular swimmer. Abe would drop Linda off at the door, she would come in for her swim. When Abe returned to pick up Linda when she was finished swimming, Abe always came in with a smile and made time for a chat with all of us Receptionists. When Linda completed her swim, she came back out to the lobby with her bag ready to go and Abe ALWAYS carried her bag for her and they would ALWAYS hold hands while walking back to the car. It warmed my heart to see how much he loved and cared for her. Abe was such a positive, kind man! My sincerest condolences to Linda, Karen and Brenda and your families.

I came to know Abe at the Mennonite Heritage Museum, and found him to a true friend and supporter of that landmark. He will be missed.

Our condolences to the family. One of my favourite memories of your Dad, Karen and Brenda, is when Abe, Henry, and Herman would come over to visit us at the farm in Randolph. Before the evening was done the couches and chairs in the living room would get moved out of harms way, and the 3 nephews and my Dad, Jake Janzen, would take turns wrestling each other......special times for me !
We will never forget his smile and pleasant nature.
