I met Randy in the early 1970’s when I worked on the track for CN Rail and stayed in the bunkhouse in Ste. Anne. We became friends during that time. He would do his perfect Yakky Doodle impression, from the cartoon, that always made us laugh. We nicknamed him Chopper, the bulldog who was Yakky’s best friend and protector. The bulldog was built more like Randy than the duck. After I left Ste. Anne I did not see him again until 2008. I met him, by chance, in Clearspring Mall at the insurance office. He invited me to his office space. We talked about the past and what we had been up to since we had last seen each other. Randy’s character had not changed. Still humorous, upbeat, friendly as ever. My sympathies to MaryAnne and to his mom Henrietta, sister Bev and brother Don. Terry Viddal.

We were one of his customers that followed him to different insurance offices because of his great service. He always said, "If your house burns, call me first, right after calling 911". He was a man of integrity and gave great advice. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family.

I had the pleasure of serving Randy and Don at Salisbury House in Steinbach. They always were cheerful and made me laugh. You can have all the water you want now Randy- pretty sure God will have a chauffeur for you in heaven. My heart goes out to your family; you made your part of the world a better place.

I am so sorry for your loss, Mary Ann, my sincere condolences. I had the privilege of working with Randy. He was a very caring and sincere person, always time to listen. The office Christmas parties were always a hoot, playing Spoons, his one liners came quick and were so hilarious. Our Saturday mornings working together always began with a MacDonald’s Sausage Egg McMuffin breakfast which we took turns buying for each other. I have many great memories of this wonderful man. He made this world a better place and he will be missed.

Thank you for taking the time to entertain me as a little girl at a boring insurance place while my mom worked.
Thank you for celebrating & sharing a beer with us at our wedding.
Thank you for sharing your life lessons and stories with us when we popped in for a patio chat. (We never felt unwelcomed)
I can't say I know too much about football but I hope you're having a heck of a time scoring some goals up there. ( I also hope that made you smile big guy)
Raising one for you tonight Randy. With that, from the bottom to the top to the insides and outsides of our hearts, thank you for being our friend. Thank you for being you. We will miss you so very much.
Cheers - Kayla & Delmer

I got to know Randy when we were working across the street from each other on Main Street in Steinbach. When he saw us crossing the street to go for coffee at Main Bread and Butter it didn’t take long and he would be there. We enjoyed many a joke with him and always played a little game to see who was paying for the coffee. Lots of great memories and and we will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family.
Remembering all the good times we had as teenagers. Man did we have fun, riding around Steinbach in THE TRUCK.
Going bowling and our Sunday nights were spent at the movies and of course our hang out at A&W after the movies.
I will always treasure our last talk we had Randy. Rest In Peace.
Your cousin Marilyn

Randy was always busier than a one legged man in a kicking contest but always found the time for his friends. Never short on one liners and stories you were always fully engaged in whatever he was saying. He will always be the man mistaken for my father at a Christmas party. Or was I mistaken for his son? He introduced me to 10 pin bowling, welcomed me in his home and share endless stories over lunch hours. He knew how to make the best coffee never drinking it himself because he had to drive. I was sad to hear of his passing and regret the fact that we lost touch over the years. My condolences to MaryAnne, the family and everyone grieving over the loss of a dear friend.

From John & Mary Anne & all our family...What can we say about Randy....nothing but good, happy things! He was always the life of any social function - filled with wit, humor and many laughs. From bowling at Mosienko, many social events and visits through the years...although few and far between...Randy never lost his love for family and friends. John and I have been reminiscing and we can so sincerely say that the world has lost a truly special person. We send you, Mary Ann, and all his family, our sincere condolences. Randy...you were the epitome of a true friend...never forgetting those that you crossed paths with. RIP - until we meet again!

Randy was one of my first contacts when we moved here from Montreal, he showed me what true, honest customer service looked like. Randy knew everyone, his mission was to help people without exception. I followed him when he transferred because he was my favorite broker of all times, we talked about our faith in Christ almost every time we met. He told me that loneliness was destroying him in the hospital, I was going to disguise myself as a nurse to sneak in and visit him, I regret not doing it. Randy impacted my life and the life of many, may God's peace be with Maryanne and the family❤
